His chances were not good at all. When he first looked at her he thought she was out of his reach.
The moon reflected her full mantle of silver in the mirror of water, outside the palace of the beautiful landscape of Asgard.
As the emeralds on his face fixed on the glass dome, he caressed the golden strands of his partner. He thought as his lungs filled with air. The perfect and graceful fingers set on his white hands stroked her back as a mirthless reflection flew over his mind.
He was a monster. The monster the parents talked to their children about at nights. What made him think she would set her magnificent, peaceful gaze toward a monster like him?
If he was evil, why she was lying in his arms, devoted to him and to the slumber?
Because he was not an abominable entity, only the need to be understood from the people around coated on his heart and
through the many suns and moons flying in their everyday, he had shown her he was not a saint at all and through every morning he was surprised that she was still there for him.
His lips outlined a small smile. The love and understanding she gave him in his every day was proof that good things still existed ...
The gentle sound of her breathing adorned their dream, silent but intimate. The stars spied such as delinquents and the moon walked over the sky.
Her embrace was a fortress, in all his dark sorrow, a fallen rose who brought small pieces of heaven to soothe his grief and torment...
With that thought lighted with tenderness and joy, he intensified the embrace that kept them together, covering the lips of his complement with his own and whispering amorously to her ear.
My friend... my greatest victory...

Loki X Reader : Forged Anew - CH 37
Odin waited in his private study, expecting Loki to arrive shortly. Shortly after dawn, he had sent one of the palace pages with a summons to his son. The reply back had said Loki had an important appointment to handle first, but he would be available mid-morning. Odin hazarded a guess what ‘appointment’ could be so important. Yet another session with that miscreant, Danethar. What did that make now- nearly a month? And still two more months to go.
I don’t know how Danethar has survived this long, and nor do I want to.

Loki X Reader : Forged Anew - CH 19
Loki had seen enough. He no longer doubted that the Allfather had engineered this whole audience to suit a hidden agenda. Judging from the outcome, he could think of only one logical reason Odin had bothered to summon Danethar to a public hearing. One terrible, monstrous reason.
“You want him to destroy her,” Loki accused Asgard’s King in a dangerously quiet tone. Everyone turned to him, as if they’d forgotten he was even present.
